Editing Abe

For the Editing Abe Project, we basically used all of our skills to enhance an image of Abraham Lincoln. The tools and techniques that I found most useful were the adjustment layers, healing brush, the clone stamp tool, liquify and the burn tool. First of all, we started with a picture of Abe and liquified it to form another facial/body structure. Then after we liquified it, I used adjustment layers and masks to add some colors and modify the brightness/contrast. After spending quite a while on coloring the image, I had to get rid of the scratches and marks on the image by using the healing brush tool and the clone stamp tool. Basically, I used the clone stamp tool on places where the healing brush wasn't working well and afterwards, I used the healing brush to finish the spot. Finally, after seeing that nearly all of the marks on the image were fixed, I added some finishing touches, like burning parts of Abe's face and adding color to his eyes.

Movie Trailer Project

For this project, we had to implement all of our skills to form a poster for a local event or a movie. I chose to make a poster for The Social Network and used pictures from the movie posters to put onto a background that I got from the Facebook homepage. After I retrieved all the pictures and put them on individual layers, I used adjustment layers for masks and different blending options to make it look better.

Gorilla Messi Project

In this project, we learned many valuable techniques like masks, and non destructive techniques. Non destructive techniques are when you add/ make changes to the picture, but you can add in and take away parts without them being permanently erased. With the masks, we add in a new mask layer consisting of a picture over the part where we want it to be, then we paint black and white to make parts of the new layer disappear and appear.

WildBunch Project

In this project, I learned to use basic painting and coloring techniques like the color balance and selecting parts of the picture. I used the magnetic lasso tool as well as the magic wand tools to select sections and used the color balance and paint brush to color that specific selection.

Fruit face Project

This picture was my first project where we learned basic layer settings. We learned to get pictures from the internet and used them to form our own original image.
